Christmas Gifts

Here are some pictures from Christmas. I got some great gifts!!

Baby Doll - Two

I have a baby doll who says, "Tickle me Mommy. That tickles." I got her for Christmas and have named her Two. She goes everywhere with me and loves to ride in the stroller. She also likes to sit in the high chair while I eat or we do puzzles together. We also like to sit on the floor and do puzzles together. I also like putting diapers on Two. She also likes getting Eskimo kisses.

Two also likes me to walk around, I pat her back and I say shhh, shhh, shhh to calm her down.

Cooking

I love cooking! Especially if it involves eggs! I love to crack eggs and Mommy lets me! I am pretty good at not putting them in the eggs. :) Mommy and I eat french toast or eggs nearly every morning, so I get lots of practice.

I also love pouring things and mixing! But my favorite is making brownies, because I get to lick the bowl!

It's been a while

It's been a while since my last post. Mommy has been very busy and will not give me any computer time. That nasty thing called work is always taking up MY time! But she said I will have more time this week and next because she is taking something called vacation - I am looking forward to it!

Mommy put up the Christmas tree and I helped! I like putting the ornaments on and then taking them off again...rearranging them is fun. One thing I do NOT like about Christmas is Santa Clause - I do not want to sit on his lap. Mommy isn't going to even try to get a picture with me and him this year because she says I will just cry...can I help it??

Potty News
I will peepee in the potty...sometimes. I am starting to realize when my diaper is wet and tell Mommy poo, poo :) She thinks this is funny.

I will try to post more this week since I should have some computer time...and I will insist that Mommy put up some new pictures!!

Hurricane Ike hits Louisville!

A note from Mommy:

Yesterday Louisville, Kentucky got a category 1 hurricane from Ike. Yes a hurricane in Louisville!! We had 74 mile per hour winds. It was incredible! Here is a link to one of the news stations with video - I also recommend you scroll down and look at the slide show.

Our power went out within 1 hour of the wind starting! We live next to a power substation so our power doesn't go out that often. Louisville lost power to 60% of it's residence - including us. The power was out from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm. We were some of the lucky ones and got it back! They are predicting that some people won't get theirs back for 1 week.

We went to find some food about 7:00pm and EVERY restaurant was SWAMPED! I mean drive through lines around the building. We were at Taco Bell for 1.5 hours - no kidding! We drove 20 miles around and every restaurant that had power was like this. Cracker Barrell had people everywhere..it was amazing I have never seen anything like this! If it took 1.5 hours at fast food I am sure Cracker Barrell was 3 hours - wait, seating, and eating.

Katie did well with the power outage...although she couldn't understand why the lights wouldn't turn on. She kept pointing and saying "light, light" and hitting the switches (that she could reach). She also didn't understand why she couldn't watch a DVD.

We have large tree branches down - some leaning and some completely uprooted in our complex as well around Louisville.

Also we have lost a lot of shingles on the roof! It took the shingles and tar paper, so part of the roof is down to the ply wood. Luckily we live on the first floor, and the leak is on the other side of the building!

We got some rain last night. But compared to Texas we are lucky and the damage is minor.

Daddy Passes Out!

Daddy passed out at work yesterday. He is ok. The Dr said he got laughing too hard and then stood up so all the blood rushed to his legs and his head and his brain didn't like it. He hit the floor but luckily his fall got broken by a shoe! So he looks like someone rubbed his face on the rug with a knot on his head. He is ok, but has a few Dr visits in his future to ensure it was just a fluke thing.

I am back!

It's been a long time since my last post. I just can't get Mommy off the computer!! Here are some new things I have been doing...

Yesterday I helped Mommy make cookies. I got to pour the ingredients into the bowl. But I didn't like the mixer running. Mommy made up for that by holding me when the mixer was on. We made Buttersctotchies...Mommy's favorite. They similar to chocolate chip toll house cookies but with butterscotch chips and oatmeal. Mommy let them cool on the counter, but guess what...I could reach them!! So the doggies and I got to eat a few cookies without Mommy knowing it!! :)

Also last night Daddy brought me home my very own potty. It sings and tells me to flush and wipe. I like playing with it, but I don't know how to put my peepee in it yet. This morning I could take my pajama bottoms off myself and wanted to sit on the potty. I also have big girl panties that I like to wear (but always over my diaper). :) They have Minnie mouse on them...one of my favorites.

Speaking of favorites. I love Minnie and Elmo. I especially like to watch them on TV...and pooh too!
